Pool Side Office

Deep in the West Sussex countryside set in a magnificent garden we find this spacious, comfortable garden home office. Sat beside the swimming pool and overlooking the main lawn beyond, this really is a relaxing and inspirational place to work. The design needed to be primarily functional for a busy travel company, requiring enough space for at least two people to work permanently plus offering the option to remain comfortable for visiting colleagues and clients.

It was important for this Garden Room to blend in perfectly with its already mature surroundings and allow good access and flow for the swimming pool and hot tub. There are some other outbuildings nearby and the new structure catches the eye without being an obvious new addition. As well as large office space, a substantial, integrated store room was included which is so valuable for garden furniture and equipment.

The internal office space has room for two large desks plus large cabinets and additional chairs. It is fully insulated which provides both a warm environment in the colder months along with excellent soundproofing to keep out external distractions when working. It is plastered and painted inside with an oak-effect laminate floor. We love the addition of the world map wallpaper which we sadly can’t take credit for!
